Amendment of the ordinance on annual fees for the right to use the frequency

The amendment of the ordinance on annual fees for the right to use the frequency initiated by the President of UKE will result in the obligation to pay the annual fee in quarterly instalments in arrears, while currently it is paid in advance for the entire period in which the entity has the right to have the frequency at its disposal or to use it. This solution will simplify the annual fee billing system, especially when there is a change in the scope of the rights held during the calendar year.

In addition, the amendment of the ordinance maintains the current level of fees for the right to use the frequencies of a total width of 1 MHz used by digital systems in the area of 1 municipality or smaller in the frequency range 174-470 MHz.  This solution will provide the conditions for further development of digital terrestrial radio.

The changes will come into force on January 1, 2018.
