SMJI: Signing of the document recommending the awarding of a certificate to the SamKnows system

The President of UKE signed a document recommending the awarding of a certificate to the SamKnows system for measuring throughput and round-trip delay, which is the result of an agreement made with the Łódź University of Technology and the company Rateart.

This agreement involves:

• developing measurement scenarios for selected QoS (quality of service) metrics to assess the accuracy of internet access measurements conducted by the measurement system of SamKnows

• performing a series of reference measurements in the measurement laboratories of the university

• preparing and presenting measurement results that meet the applicable requirements

• preparing a report describing the method for certifying the quality of internet access measurements based on the recommendations of ITU-T Y.156sam and RFC2544.

The SamKnows measurement system was chosen for the Internet Quality Monitoring System project (SMJI).

The agreement was signed on June 2, 2025.
