Accessibility of products and services

From June 28, 2025, a law ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements for certain products and services by economic operators will come into force. It is referred to as the Polish Accessibility Act (PAA). These provisions implement the provisions of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) into the Polish legal system.

The purpose of the Act is to improve the accessibility of selected products and services for all users, in particular for persons with disabilities and seniors. The new requirements apply, among others, to payment terminals, ATMs, electronic banking services, e-commerce, e-books, telephony, and passenger transport.

The introduction of uniform accessibility standards promotes social inclusion, increases user independence, and improves customer service quality. The new obligations apply to manufacturers, suppliers, and service operators alike.
